2022 Crosstrek vs. Impreza 5-Door: Design & Exterior Features

Stylistically the 2022 Crosstrek and the 2022 Impreza 5-Door have one thing in common: a hatchback rear door for more storage availability. Derived originally from the design of the Impreza 5-Door, the durable Crosstrek is a subcompact SUV with hatchback style lines and it handles like a car. The comfortable Impreza 5-Door is a car with a hatchback trunk, and the body design of an SUV.  One of the biggest distinctions is ground clearance; the Crosstrek sits at 8.7-inches off the ground, more than three inches higher than the Impreza 5-Door. Both models offer upgradable wheels up to 18-inches above the base trim levels. LED Steering Responsive Headlights are unavailable with the Impreza 5-Door, and come available on higher trim levels of the Crosstrek. Raised roof rails are standard fare to the Crosstrek, and only available on select trim levels of the Impreza 5-Door. A power moonroof is an optional upgrade for either model above the base trim level.
