Navigating the search for a replacement part can be a challenging endeavor. Opting for a brand-new part may seem like the ideal solution, but it often comes with a hefty price tag. On the other hand, choosing a secondhand component from an aftermarket parts store can raise concerns about its remaining lifespan and reliability. Alternators, being exposed to extreme pressures, temperatures, and various contaminants throughout their operational life, demand a careful selection. Striking a balance between new and used options brings us to the distinctive realm of remanufactured parts. Remanufactured parts undergo a meticulous process that involves disassembly, thorough cleaning, and reworking. In the case of alternators, each component is carefully scrutinized and tested to ensure optimal functionality. Any parts that fall short of the rigorous OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications are replaced with genuine Subaru parts, guaranteeing the highest quality standards. External components vulnerable to corrosion are also replaced, enhancing the overall durability of the alternator. The reassembled and "remanufactured" alternator then undergoes a series of stringent output power and load tests to confirm that it meets the highest performance standards. This meticulous approach ensures that remanufactured alternators provide a reliable and cost-effective solution for your vehicle's needs.
Our team of factory-trained and certified Subaru technicians expertly handles all parts, whether remanufactured or otherwise. Once the remanufactured alternator is prepared for installation in your vehicle, our technicians conduct thorough tests to ensure every component is functioning at its best. Post-installation, additional tests are performed to verify that everything is in proper working order. At Shingle Springs Subaru, we prioritize the integrity and longevity of your vehicle. Our commitment to excellence extends to every repair, ensuring that your Subaru continues to journey down the road reliably for many years to come.
