Unless you negotiate an unusually long lease, your Subaru will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty for the entire lease term. That means that any mechanical problems that arise during your lease will be covered by the warranty! It doesn't cover vehicle neglect or traffic accidents, so you'll still need collision insurance like in any other car, but if anything goes wrong on your properly maintained Subaru, it's covered - your Subaru dealer will fix it at no cost to you.

Beyond that, you're responsible only for regular vehicle maintenance - oil changes, brake pad replacement, tire rotations and other important procedures.
